The idea was that if I only used one second of each song, it would be hard to recognize the original sample and the production surrounding it would obscure it. But it turns out that the samples are highly recognizable, even at short little bursts. Which makes this recording really fun to listen to. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way this will ever see the light of day, considering that each track has 50-100 different songs in it, one second at a time. Copyright clearance would be a nightmare... but maybe you can find a bootleg copy.
