It's a diverse listening experience that ranges from strange and interesting pop songs to punky new wave tracks. A lot of territory is covered here, including an acapella poem with some creative effects and artistic recording techniques.
The album opens with a banger, 'Only Child', which features hip hop drums by Jon Gilmore and a killer hook from Goddess. The track tells the story of being uprooted from San Diego at a young age. Other upbeat tracks include 'Monkey Wrench', an instant pop classic, and the heavy and punky 'Cancel Culture'.
One interesting highlight is the track 'Slow Down', which was written by her father, Gus Kringen, and originally recorded on a cassette in the 1980's. Using the original cassette, Goddess Kring vocals were layered over the top of her father's original recording - along with some sounds and effects - and engineering brought Goddess Kring and her father together in a magical way.
If you remember Goddess Kring from the grunge days of Seattle, you are sure to enjoy this!
